Fuel Prices Continue To Drop For RON 95 and RON 97

The Ministry of Finance announced that the retail price of petroleum products dropped from March 14 to March 20, 2020.

Based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, the retail price of petroleum products for March 14, 2020, until March 20, 2020, is set as follows:

  1. The retail price of RON97 petrol dropped by 9 sen per liter from RM2.19 per liter to RM2.10 per liter
  2. The retail price of RON95 petrol dropped by 7 cents a share from RM1.89 a liter to RM1.82 a liter
  3. The retail price of diesel dropped by 9 cents per liter, from RM1.96 a liter to RM1.87 a liter.

As a measure to stabilize the fluctuations in oil prices for consumers and at the same time offset the Government’s volatility, the retail prices of both RON95 and diesel petrol products were lowered to RM1.82 per liter and RM1.87 per liter respectively.

In addition, the Government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people, especially in dealing with the rising cost of living due to rising prices.
