GSC To Shut Down All Cinemas until March 31

KUALA LUMPUR: All Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) theaters will be covered and occasions dropped during the 14-day Movement Control Order time of March 18 to 31.

This follows the declaration of the Movement Control Order by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday to check the spread of the Covid-19 contamination in Malaysia.

“We lament any burden brought about by the conclusion of our films.

“Clients who have tickets for screenings will be discounted for their buys,” GSC said in an announcement posted on Twitter.

It’s included that tickets bought online will be consequently discounted inside 14 working days; while moviegoers who purchased tickets using the Box Office or e-Ticketing stands should clutch their stubs until the finish of the lockdown to get their discounts.

“As this is quickly developing, Golden Screen Cinemas is observing the circumstance intently.

“Updates on our film tasks and extra data will be imparted by means of online networking and our site in the coming weeks,” it included.

The Movement Control Order by the legislature is forced under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988, and the Police Act 1967.

The request involves a prohibition on mass get-togethers for strict, game, social and social exercises; and the conclusion of most business premises – except for general stores, open markets, and sundry and comfort shops selling day by day basics.
