Everyone at this time must be having a hard time and having difficulty living at home and having no income due to this COVID-19 outbreak, also the execution of Movement Contro Order (MCO) by the government.

Those who do general works at markets or restaurants will be very much affected during the MCO period and in fact, they will not have the opportunity to earn income over time.

How they’ll survive? What kind of lives they are living right now?

According to a post from a Facebook user who is also a community activist known as Abam Botak, he uploaded the story of a young father who chases after his van to ask for donations.

As stated by Abam Botak, the young father ride his bicycle from far away just to ask for a little donation because there was nothing at his home.

“We asked him, what’s wrong with you, sir?”

“I want to ask you a favor. I heard you were here for giving some donation, so can I have some for my wife and kid at home?” Said the young father.

“Nothing is in our house. Please, sir, I’m begging you,” he added.

“His face was in great need at that time. From his face and his eyes, I saw a thousand hope given to us,” said Abam Botak.

“He said to us. He’s from Bakau village. He chasing us on a bicycle all the way to Sundang Darat.”

“However, on that day, we were unable to give him any donations, as the existing goods already had the owner,” he added.

“If we gave him that day. What about who originally had the right to own the goods.”

“We all feel guilty. Those who have such hearts and feelings can certainly feel the hardness to reject the requests of the public,” said Abam Botak.

“Before he goes away. I gave him a phone number for us to work on him for the next segment. Alhamdulillah, yesterday evening, his efforts and prayers have been paid by Allah.”

“Alhamdulillah, we can all help him. His smiling face can be seen after received help from all of us ladies and gentlemen.”

In the same statement, Abam Botak also said that the young father repeatedly expressed his gratitude for the help that he gave to him by kissing his hand. “I pull it fast. I told him no need to do that. We’re the same.”

“Finally, I would like to thank all the contributors for providing us with financial and material assistance. Without you, who we are. Without you, the donors and the public at this time would not have something to cook in the kitchen. Thank you…Thank you…Thank you,” said Abam Botak.

“To Allah, we hope that a fair reward may be given to you and us all. Amin.”
