Nine Hospitals In Malaysia Start WHO Global ‘Solidarity Trial’ In Treating Covid-19

Malaysia is involved in the ‘Solidarity Trial’ by the World Health Organization (WHO) to test the drug that potentially cures for COVID-19.

The matter was announced by the Ministry of Health (KKM) via the official MOH Putrajaya Twitter today.

According to the tweet, a total of 9 hospitals were selected in the survey to collect data on treatment effectiveness using four drugs.

According to the Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, Malaysia’s participation in this worldwide survey can help in the search for life-saving drugs for COVID-19 patients.

The nine KKM hospital that included are Tuanku Fauziah Hospital, Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Pulau Pinang Hospital, Sungai Buloh Hospital and Kuala Lumpur Hospital. It also included Melaka Hospital, Tunku Ampuan Afzan Hospital, Sarawak General Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
