Brazil, the second country with most COVID-19 cases behind the United States has more than 50,000 COVID-19 death cases that has been confirmed on Sunday.

As said by Brazil Health Ministry, the country now has a total of 1,085,038 confirmed cases and 50,617 deaths. Experts believe that the true numbers are a lot higher because of a lack of widespread testing.

Brazil’s president, Jair Bolsonaro has been widely criticized on his handling of the crisis. Until now, Brazil still has no permanent Health Minister after losing two since April, after clashes with the president.

Not just that, Bolsonaro has also promoted two anti-malarial drugs as remedies, chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, despite little evidence they work. He even shunned the social distancing, claiming that job-killing measure are more dangerous than the infections.
