RMC0: Taxi And e-Hailing Allowed To Operate, But Capacity For Passengers Must Be Observed

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob informed that e-hailing and taxi services were allowed to operate indefinitely.

He said the passenger capacity of the vehicle was also allowed based on the total capacity of the vehicle.

“Before this for e-hailing and taxi, only two people were allowed in one vehicle and to operate until 10pm. So now we allow it for an unlimited time,” said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“And the capacity is not two anymore, it may be possible to add another passenger at the front. Or, if using a vehicle of six to seven passengers they can follow according to the seat capacity,”he said.
