An Ambulance Were Blocked & ‘Invited’ To Race, Causing Critical Child To Die Upon Arrival At The Hospital

A child was reported dead as the ambulance he boarded was late arriving at the hospital. This is due to the actions of a road user who refused to give way to the ambulance.

In the incident that took place in Garut, West Java, an individual believed to be the person who helped give way to the ambulance explained on Facebook regarding how the vehicle was stopped by the individual.

As reported by Kompas.com, Fauzi said the driver of the car deliberately stopped the ambulance that was carrying out the task and even ‘invited’ them to race.

Following that, the ambulance was said to be unable to overtake another vehicle for up to several kilometers before arriving at the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, the patient was reported dead.

“For cars that stop the ambulance, do not give way and even ‘invite’ to race, the patient who have a blood vessel rupture should get emergency (treatment),” said Fauzi.

“The patient is a child, when he arrived at the hospital he died. The ambulance only asked for a short time for other vehicles to get to the side because there were patients who had to be rescued,” he said.

“And for the other drivers, thank you for giving way to the ambulance,” added Fauzi on his Facebook account.
