MCO Is Administratively Implemented In Four Mukims In Kedah From 3 To 30 August

According to the Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the Movement Control Order (MCO) will be administered in four mukims in Kedah from 3 to 30 August.

The government in Kedah has applied to implement MCO administratively in several places in Kedah after taking into account 11 new COVID-19 cases stemming from the Sivagangga cluster.

“The Kedah state government has applied to implement MCO administratively in several places. The first, a one-kilometer radius from Nasi Kandar Salleh Restaurant, Napoh town, Mukim Hosba, Kubang Pasu. The second, Kampung Pida 1, Megat Dewa, Mukim Ah, Kubang Pasu. The third, Kampung Bendang Dalam, Mukim Binjal, Kubang Pasu. And the fourth is Kampung Ulu, Padang Sanai, Padang Terap, ”he said.

This morning’s meeting approved the Kedah state government’s application to implement MCO administratively in the area from August 3 to August 30, he added.

The administrative implementation of MCO will adopt the existing SOP with the addition of roadblocks at each entrance and exit and the closure of several major roads around.
