Mount Sinabung Erupts Again This Morning, Ash Eruption Is Seen To Reach 1,000 Meters High From The Peak

Mount Sinabung located in North Sumatra erupted again around 6.07 this morning local time (Indonesian time). The height of the ash is seen as high as 1,000 meters above the summit as high as 3.460 meters above sea level.

Based on a statement from the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation, the ash column that exploded was gray with wind leading east, southeast, and south.

If there is ‘rain’ of ash, people are asked to always wear a face mask to get out of the house. Clean water facilities also need to be taken care of and need to clean the roof of the house so that it does not collapse.

Citing a CNN report, residents living near the river leading to the mountain were asked to be wary of the dangers of flowing lava.

Preliminary reports indicate that the eruption of Mount Sinabung has been going on since last Saturday. At that time, the eruption reached 2,000 meters from the summit and was in standby status.

Hundreds of residents in the area have been evacuated to safer places from the danger of the eruption. Not allowed to do any activity near Mount Sinabung.
