(Video) Poor Cat Left In Cages Outside Of A House During Heavy Rain

Protecting pets requires full attention in caring for the welfare of those animals. It is not just keeping it in a cage, feeding, drinking, bathing, and so on, but more than that.

A responsible pet owner must already be aware of and understand the surrounding conditions that affect the comfort of the animal.

However, a video shared by the Malaysia Animal Association, the actions of a cat owner is quite unpleasant to be seen by social media users.

In the video, an orange cat appears trapped in a cage behind a house. But, the saddest thing is that when this situation was recorded, it was raining and the cage was wet with rainwater.

“If street cats can escape when a storm strikes. Pet cats caged outside the home have no choice. Rain and heat conditions must be dealt with,” stated the post.

“Owners who keep cats in cages and placed outside the home should examine the risk of rain tempias and the scorching heat of the sun when laying their cages,” the post added.

According to the Malaysia Animal Association, it is believed that the incident happened in Taman Pengkalan Jaya, Ayer Molek Melaka. Taman Pengkalan Jaya, Ayer Molek Melaka. The incident also currently under the monitoring of the Melaka State Department of Veterinary Services.

“This is not the first time. It has been repeated over and over again and the owner remains stubbornly letting his pet cat on the ground floor like this,” said the post.

The Malaysia Animal Association also added that the Animal Welfare Act 2015 should be enforced in order to educate owners who are not sensitive to the welfare of their pet cats.
