Man Refused Wearing Face Mask, Pilot Make Unplan Landing to ‘Remove’ Him

Wearing a face mask is scientifically proven to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Coronavirus can be spread through respiratory droplets and contact routes. That is why scientists and health experts are suggesting everyone to wear a face mask.

Most countries currently have strict rules on wearing face masks to curb the disease in their country. It is important for every people to abide by the steps taken in their country as we want to stop the pandemic.

In Japan, people used to wear face masks way before COVID-19 strikes the world. However, there are no fines for anyone who doesn’t want to wear it. Maybe because of the lenient rules, a small minority of people appear to become anti-masker.

A man was reported to refuse to wear a face mask when boarding on a flight from Kushiro Airport in Hokkaido to Kansai Airport in Osaka. He failed to respond when a flight attendant asked him to wear a face mask.

Other passengers said they didn’t want to sit near to a person who doesn’t wear a face mask. Later an argument started between the man and other passengers. He raised his voice and accused them of slander. The man was told to be issued with a written warning but he still didn’t cooperate with the cabin crew.

The captain of the Peach Aviation aircraft decided to make an unscheduled landing at Niigata Airport to remove him from the flight. The incident had caused a two hours and fifteen minutes delay for 124 other passengers.
