This is a very tough year for everyone. Many countries all over the world are struggling to curb the spread of coronavirus disease in their country. It has affected not only the health of the residing nations but also the economy and social life of the people.
While other countries are fighting with the pandemic, the U.S. has to handle another natural disaster that happened in the country. The U.S. West Coast has been battling wildfires since mid-August.
It is reported that the hardest blaze has hits California, Washington State, and Oregon. Heatwaves and windy conditions have fuelled the wildfires to rage.
The state could see the greatest loss of life and property in its history, said Oregon Governor Kate Brown. Three deaths have been reported in Oregon, with another three in California, and one in Washington.
There are 96 large fires in the western U.S. and has burned more than 3.4 million acres, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. About tens of thousands of acres have burned in California, Oregon, and Washington.
The blazes in Oregon’s valleys and along the coast caused mass evacuations among the residents. It was an intense experience fleeing from the wildfires when a fire started in the city and encroaching towards their homes, said some of the residents.
