(Video) Dog Tries To Wake Dead Cat Before Dragging It To Safety

A heartbreaking moment was recorded in a video showing a pet dog desperately trying to wake up a dead cat after finding it lying in the middle of traffic in southwest China.

The pet dog, called the Black Panther, dragged the cat’s body to the side of the road and repeatedly tried to revive it. The lifeless cat was said to have been hit by a passing vehicle and left in the middle of the road.

The incident took place on the night of October 28 in Guangyuan city in Sichuan Province. It is believed the cat was hit by a vehicle when the dog saw it.

The video shows the pet dog sniffing the dead cat and the surrounding area as the car passed slowly. Also seen in the video, the dog used its paw to nudge the cat’s body several times, apparently trying to wake him up.

It also pulls the cat’s body to the side of the road with its mouth and front legs.

The dog owner was only informed of his dog’s actions after watching footage of his pet on social media. He said he was not at the scene at the time.

According to the dog owner, his pet dog was walking in the surrounding area alone at the time. He stated that the pet knew how to avoid the car.

He claimed that he brought his dog back to the scene of the incident the same night to find the dead cat. But, he stated that the street cleaner had buried the cat.

He added that since the incident, Black Panther will not stop looking for the cat every time they go out.
