(Video) Heartwarming Video Stranded Dog Rescued Amid Heavy Floods In Mexico

Rescue workers, who are out to find survivors had come across a poor canine, stranded against a submerged building by being buoyant from the water.

The 30-second video shows the dog, clinging to what seems to be a railing, stuck with nowhere to go to find a shelter. The rescuers petted the dog to gain its trust, the dog then gaining the courage to let the rescuers help in getting on board.

Lopez Obrador, the president of Mexico had mentioned that the flooding in Tabasco region has improved since last week when some parts worsened. Though, roads and farmlands still remain underwater.

The flood is said to be from the excessive release of water from the Peñitas dam, which was overrun by rain by Tropical Storm Eta.

The southern regions of the country, including Tabasco, were affected badly since the heavy rain from the storm, deeming as the worst flood to hit the state in 50 years, affecting around 600,000 people and has brought 6 deaths.

The authorities then brought the dog in for shelter. The dog was then rescued by the Mexican Navy, who will be trained to serve them.

The video has gone viral, gaining over 5 million views, and has been featured in news stories around the world.

The president then announced that the government will be implementing a new movement to stop the recurrent flood in both Tabasco and Chiapas, which was predicted to be hit by more heavy rain.
