Woman With Tongue Cancer Needs Our Help

MyFundAction has released a video regarding a woman that is going through Stage 3 of tongue cancer. In the video, the mother of three cries out her despair of not having enough money for the surgery.

The woman, Ms. Rahayu has difficulties consuming her food and water. Be it only regular water, it stings her to the point that it reaches her brain.

Ms. Rahayu was shocked at the ulcer that was thought to be ‘normal’ turned out to be a tongue cancer stage 3 when one night her ulcer popped in her sleep.

Currently, Ms. Rahayu had just undergone surgery and can only drink specialized milk using a tube that goes directly into her stomach.

She used to be a businesswoman, selling Char Kuey Teow for a living, but that was ultimately halted as her taste buds are not functioning anymore.

The specialized milk made for Ms. Rahayu must be consumed for at least 2 months until the wound in her mouth is fully healed. The price for that milk is RM98, and could only last her for 5 days. In two months, her cost for just the milk exceeds RM1,000.

Ms. Rahayu needs chemotherapy every month; and the nearest hospital that offers that is in another state. The cost of transportation for Ms. Rahayu to go to Klang, Selangor from Bagan Dato, Perak every month takes around RM 160.

The total of all the accommodations that Ms. Rahayu had to bear herself is around RM3,096/month.

Her husband, working in rough labor with an income of RM1,000 a month, it has become difficult for this family to live their everyday lives, especially with three children who are still in school.

Team MyFundAction has opened a charity hold for Ms. Rahayu and the other people going through the same struggles as her, all in the name of kindness. Every month, their team targets 10 cancer patients to receive donations for their costs of living and treatment.

The link to donate is here https://myfahealth.onpay.my/order/form/kanserlidah

No matter how little we want to donate, every cent counts for them. Let us all donate to help Ms. Rahayu take back her normal life with her family.
