(Video) Syrian Air Defenses Respond to ‘Israeli Attack’ After Explosions Heard Over Hama Countryside

Syrian air defense reportedly on Friday intercepted a missile fired by Israel in the western province of Hama, Syrian state TV said, citing a military statement.

“At 12:40 this morning, the Israeli enemy launched an aggression by directing a barrage of missiles from the north of the Lebanese city of Tripoli towards the Masyaf area in the western Hama countryside,” the statement said.

“Our air defenses intercepted the missiles and downed most of them,” added the statement.

Syrian state TV broadcasts footage showing the country’s air defense responding to Israeli attacks.

Immediately after the attack in Syria, videos showing Israeli warplanes flying low in Beirut, Lebanon also spread on social media.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Wednesday to give a “devastating blow” to “anyone trying to hurt us,” citing the names of Iran and Syria

“We will continue to act against attempts by Iran and its proxies to establish military bases in Syria. We will not compromise on this issue,” Netanyahu said.
