Bad Weather Warning for Several States

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an alert weather warning with continuous heavy rainfall forecast in several areas in Pahang and Johor.

MetMalaysia in a statement today said the areas in Pahang involved Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin, while in Johor, the areas that will be affected are Segamat, Mersing and Kota Tinggi.

The alert weather warning with heavy rain is also issued for Kelantan; Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu and Marang); and Johor involving Kluang, Kulai and Johor Bahru.

The similar situation is also expected to last until Saturday in Dungun, Kemaman, Terengganu; as well as Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh and Maran, in Pahang.
