Government Will Not Intervene In Court Matters, Judiciary Will Continue To Work During Emergency

The judiciary will be guaranteed to continue to function to uphold the law and justice throughout the period of emergency in force.

According to the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the government will not interfere in any court business.

“The National Alliance Government will continue to defend the independence of the judiciary and will never interfere in the affairs of the courts,” he said.

An emergency order has been declared by the YDP Agong today and is expected to take effect until August 1, 2021 or earlier if the daily COVID-19 case can be curbed.
