LATEST: Agong Consents To Declare Emergency Until August 1 Or Earlier

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah has given his consent for the declaration of Emergency Proclamation to be implemented as a proactive measure to curb the symptoms of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Through a brief BERNAMA report this morning, His Majesty also gave his consent for the period of emergency implementation until 1 August 2021 or until an earlier date.

It is understood that the expected period is given if the daily COVID-19 positive case figures can be controlled and lowered effectively.
