All UMNO Ministers Will Remain In The Cabinet – PM

In a media statement today, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today said all ministers from UMNO would continue to remain in the Cabinet of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.

The Prime Minister said the agreement was reached after his meeting with ministers from UMNO on Monday (March 29) who sought advice on their position in the PN government’s Cabinet.

“I have advised them to remain in the Cabinet. This takes into account the interests of the people and the country.

“Alhamdulillah, on the advice I gave, an agreement has been reached that all UMNO ministers will continue to remain in the Cabinet,” he said in a statement here today.

He also said the government’s main focus was to combat COVID-19, implement a national immunization program and revive the country’s economy.

“Therefore, I do not want their resignation from the Cabinet to affect all government plans to overcome the COVID-19 problem and restore the country’s economy,” said Muhyiddin.

On March 29, ministers from UMNO held a meeting with the Prime Minister following the resolution of the UMNO 2020 General Assembly in the capital to decide on political cooperation with Bersatu in the 15th General Election.
