“I Apologize To All The Mothers…” – Ronaldo Apologizes For Awful 2002 Haircut

After almost 20 years later, Brazillian Football legend that is Ronaldo Nazario has finally admitted what everyone in this whole wide world has been thinking about his own haircut for the particular 2002 World Cup final. He has recently apologized for his awful haircut at that time which has inspired many school kids to copy his quirky style. He shaved off all his hair apart from a small section at the front of his head just before his nation’s semi-final triumph over Turkey.

The particular hairstyle has inspired many children across the globe to copy his look. Ronaldo Nazario said, “It was horrible. I apologize to all the mothers who saw their children get the same haircut”. He then went further to explain the real story behind the terrible haircut and claimed that he had sustained a leg injury and did the cut to avoid having to talk to the media.

He also stated, “I saw my teammates and asked, ‘Do you like it?’ They said, ‘No, it’s horrible! Cut this off!’ But the journalists saw my haircut and forgot about the injury”. That is why he stayed with that haircut during that time.

Ronaldo also finished the tournament as the top scorer. He successfully netted 104 goals across 177 appearances for the Los Blancos between 2002 and also 2007, while he hit 47 goals in 49 outings for Barcelona in the 1996 to 1997 campaign in a professional career in which he scored over 400 goals.
