Marrybrown Reaches Out To Women In Need For International Women’s Day 2021

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11  — For this recent International Women’s Day, Marrybrown Malaysia reaffirms its unwavering commitment to gender equality and empowerment by donating over 1,500 sets of Marrybrownmeals to the residents of various organisations as a statement not to forget those who are in a vulnerable position.

With the belief of ‘Women Boleh’, Marrybrown reached out to a few organisations who are helping the less fortunate and vulnerable women in society providing a shelter for them to protect themselves and giving them the needed support.

Among the organisations are namely Women of Will, Women Aid Organisations, Pertubuhan Kebajikan DarulWardah Selangor, Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Malaysia, PSPK Women Development Centre and Grace Home Klang.

Managing Director of Marrybrown, Datin Nancy Liewsaid, the largest homegrown Halal fast-food chain wanted to play part in helping the organisations shelter less fortunate to get to a position where they can stand on their own.

“As a woman, when I first co-founded this business, I faced many hurdles,” she said.

“But with resilience, dedication and a supporting team that promotes gender equality, with each and everyone having the equal amount of resources and opportunities, we are able to see better results internally and externally, at the same time bringing all of Marrybrown’s stakeholders the varied goodness that we are well-known for globally,” added Nancy.

Since its establishment more than 40 years ago, Marrybrown has always advocated a bold vision for ensuring that gender equality and women’s empowerment come strong within the company itself, especially in having a gender-neutral team regardless if they are management or the onground team.

Marrybrown believes by providing an equal opportunity for all to learn, to grow in the business and be the leaders they are, the results of the establishment will be well-rounded and positivity will constantly flourish in all their initiatives.
