KTM Berhad Addressed The Issue of Commuter Train Service Disruption

Recently, there has been a commuter train service disruption occur at KTM. The incident involves a particular commuter train that was carried a total of 70 passengers. The train has deviated from the tracks at KM421.168 near Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Station. This incident has caused commuter services to experience delays for travel from Batu Caves Station to Sungai Gadut Station and vice versa.

KTM Berhad has addressed the issue and they stated that there are no casualties experienced involving staff or even the members of the public. The Chief Operating Officer of KTM Berhad that is Mohd Zain Mat Taha said, “The wheels of the last coach and also the last second coach of the train had deviated from the tracks, causing the train route to be completely blocked”.

KTM Berhad is carrying out work and trying their best on grounding back the train wheels that come off the tracks. Because of the incident also, KTM Berhad has recently apologized regarding the issue and also has come out with an alternative route for passengers that are affected by the incident.
