AirAsia’s First Virtual Idol To Make Live Stream Debut On May 8

PUTRAJAYA, May 5 — AirAsia Group’s first virtual idol, Aozora Kurumi, will be making her live stream debut on the YouTube channel on May 8.

AirAsia in a statement today said the virtual idol is part of AirAsia’s Project Kavvaii, a programme to discover and develop the next big virtual idol in ASEAN that was launched in March this year.

“The virtual idol will generate exciting online content in gaming and lifestyle categories with live broadcasts while participating in engaging online and offline activities in the near future,” it said.

Aozora Kurumi is a female VTuber. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese, Korean and can speak some Bahasa Malaysia and Japanese.

Aozora Kurumi is designed by Yueko, a renowned illustrator artist in the virtual idol community. She was brought to life by industry veteran, Iron Vertex, with vocals provided by talent chosen from the Project Kavvaii open audition in March
