World’s First ‘Floating’ Sky Pool To Open 115 Feet Above London In May

There is plenty of sky pools in KL where you can get a magnificent view of the city skyline while enjoying a good swim. But is there one where you can also see the view below?

An upcoming pool in Embassy Apartments, set to open in May stretches from one apartment block to another at over 30 meters from the ground and said to be the world’s first ‘floating’ pool. It stretches across the 14-meter gap between the two luxury Embassy Gardens apartment blocks in southwest London and ‘floats’ 35 meters from the ground.

The opening day is on May 19. Like any other pool apartments, only residents of the building and their guests will be able to use it. If you can afford it, a two-bedroom apartment in this building costs more than £1 million (RM 5,672,857.23).

The buildings’ Sky Deck also includes a spa, summer bar, and Orangery, with views of the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, and the U.S. Embassy.

The Property developer, Ballymore came up with the idea for the Sky Pool several years ago. This is to make sufficient space for an outdoor pool.

According to Ballymore, the acrylic pool was developed in Colorado, U.S., and was put through “extensive strength testing” before being transported to the U.K. The pool is supported at either end by stainless steel “tubs,” allowing space for steps.
