Dr Mahathir Discharged From IJN Today

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23  — Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was discharged from the National Heart Institute (IJN) at 11.30 am today.

In a statement, IJN said Dr Mahathir underwent a series of medical investigations and was ready for discharge as planned.

Dr Mahathir and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali expressed their thanks to everyone for their concern and prayers over the last week when he was admitted to IJN, the statement said.

Dr Mahathir was admitted to IJN for a full medical check-up and further observation on Dec 16.
