The famous Thierry Mugler was actually a French fashion designer, creative director, and also the creative adviser of the brand Mugler. For those who do not know, Mugler had launched his eponymous fashion house in the 1970s and quickly rose to prominence in the following decades for his avant-garde, architectural, hyperfeminine, and theatrical approach to haute couture. In 2002, he retired from the brand and returned in the year 2013 as the creative adviser.
Sadly, Thierry Mugler dies on Sunday exactly at the date of 23rd January 2022 and also at the age of 73 years old. According to his own agent that is, none other than Jean-Baptiste Rougeot has stated that the well-known designer had died of natural causes. It was announced in a social media post sent from Mugler’s official Instagram account.
The Instagram post stated, “We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr. Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022. May his soul Rest In Peace”. He has made a lot of extravagant and magnificent looks that have been favored by so many famous celebrities. One of the most memorable fashion pieces from Thierry Mugler would be Kim Kardashian wearing her Mugler-designed ‘dripping wet’ dress to the 2019 Met Gala. Lots were amazed by it.
