Why It Is Better? Change Your Toothbrush After Recovering From COVID-19

During this trying time of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been so many people who unfortunately got infected with the virus in their life. After some time and when they have finally recovered from it, there is definitely one important thing that a lot of people would do and that is to sanitize their place and all the items that they have used when they are positive with COVID-19. Little did people know, there is actually one other important thing to do.

That one mentioned and could be a very vital thing to do would be none other than changing your own toothbrush that you have already used before you are getting better. It is indeed not compulsory to be done but people are actually so encouraged to do it. Even medical people said that it really helps when you just change your toothbrush.

An interview was done by HealthShots with Dr. Anjana Satyajit who is a Head Dentistry at the Artemis Hospital and she has stated, “The virus can survive on plastic surfaces for long periods of time, so you must discard the toothbrush to be safe. It will not only protect you from getting reinfected but will also protect other family members if they are using the same washroom. Also, throw away your tongue cleaners to prevent infection”. So recommended to do it.

According to the facts said by World Health Organisation, the dangerous virus could easily be transmitted from one person to another just by tiny droplets such as when they sneeze, cough, or even talk. Other than that, people also could get infected with the virus if they touched any surface that has been contaminated with the particular virus.
