KMKM 2022 Enlivens National Month Celebration

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) — The National Month celebration was enlivened by the Keluarga Malaysia Merdeka Convoy 2022 (KMKM 2022) which ended here today.

The convoy of the Keluarga Malaysia Merdeka Convoy 2022 (KMKM 2022) which is more than 40 participants from various agencies using various vehicles arrived at the compound of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Tower at about 11 am after distributing more than 2,000 Jalur Gemilang at several stops including the Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Ilmu Khas and KL Sentral.

Among the agencies involved were the Department of Information (Japen), Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and National Film Development Corporation (Finas).

Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah said the programme was one of the activities carried out to lift the spirit of patriotism in the people and inspire Malaysians everywhere to hoist the national flag at homes or premises.

“In Kuala Lumpur, the city hall will continue to work with the residents representative councils (MPP) to encourage people at the grassroots level to fly the Jalur Gemilang and change the old flag to a new one.

“Fly our Jalur Gemilang with pride,” he said at the closing ceremony of the convoy here today.
