Experiencing Hot Weather? Don’t Put These Items In Your Car!

If you are living in a place or area which has very hot weather, you might want to take note on what items not to leave in your car.

There are many items that can be damaged, destroyed or even explode when left under very hot weather.

Recently, TikTok user @syahmibangperodua shared a video for other users on what items cannot be left in the car during hot weather. Take a look at his video below!

In the video, he shows a few items that cannot be put inside a car. The first item is air freshener sprays. You cannot put air freshener sprays in cars because if it leaks, it can cause an explosion.

Not only air freshener sprays that you need to worry about, any type of aerosol cans can be dangerous. Make sure you store them in a place where there is no sunlight!

The second item he shared is water bottles. Water bottles that still has water in it can become toxic if left under the sun or in cars. This is due to the plastic melting from the bottle mixing with the water.

The last item that cannot be put in cars is medicine. Medicine will spoil if left in cars with temperatures over 25 degrees Celsius. This will likely cause them to lose its effectiveness and forces you to throw them away.

Other items to keep away from hot weather

@syahmibangperodua has shared some really good knowledge for all of you that use cars regularly. Here are some other items that you should not leave in your car:

  • Cosmetics: can melt and make it unusable.
  • Electronics and batteries: electronics and batteries cannot handle high temperatures. It will cause them to not work or even in some cases, explode.
  • Lighters: Even though it will need really high temperature to make the liquid inside lighters to combust, it is a good idea for you keep it in a cooler place. Better be safe than sorry.
  • Food: Food will spoil faster in hot weather. Not only that, spoiled food gives off a really bad smell. You don’t want to smell rotten food while driving now do you!
  • Plastic items: Sunglasses, CDs or DVDs, latex gloves should be kept in cooler temperatures to avoid them from melting and sticking to your car.
