Henry Cavill Officially Announces His Return As Superman!

Great news for DCEU fans! Actor Henry Cavill officially announces his return as Superman in an Instagram post.

Henry posted a video on social media with the caption “A very small taste of what’s to come, my friends. The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded.”

This will surely bring a lot of smile to many Superman fans around the world. The actor debuted as the hero in 2013’s Man of Steel and last played Superman in 2017’s Justice League.

There were reports that Henry will not continue to play Superman, but after long time of no news regarding his future, Henry appeared in Black Adam’s post-credit scene.

In the short scene, he came face-to-face with Black Adam, which teases a potential fight between the two in a future movie.

With the release of Black Adam, Henry can finally announce his return as the Man of Steel. However, he could not reveal more than what is in the video. He just want say that he “wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman,” as stated in the video.

Will there be a Man of Steel 2?

Henry Cavill’s statement that he is returning as Superman could be new evidence that Man of Steel 2 will actually materialise. Warner Bros. spent nearly a decade considering several ideas for a Man of Steel sequel before abandoning them a few years ago.

Henry Cavill does not directly reference the upcoming sequel Man of Steel, but there is little question that it is a part of the plans he is teasing.

The time may have come for Warner Bros. to provide fans with more of Henry Cavill’s Superman. Cavill’s enthusiasm for returning to the role bodes well for a speedy production of the sequel and a bright future for Superman.
