Software Engineer Stabbed To Death By A 14-Year-Old Boy

Metro reported a software engineer was stabbed to death by a 14-year-old boy. It was after he got into an argument with a group of young people.

They were playing around in the bathrooms of an ASDA store, according to testimony given in court.

According to the testimony presented to the jury, 53-year-old the victim passed away prior to arriving at the hospital. A 13-year-old boy kicked him and then a 14-year-old boy stabbed him in the heart.

The Birmingham Crown Court is currently hearing the cases of five juveniles. They were between the ages of 13 and 15 when the victim passed away.

Benjamin Aina KC, the prosecutor, informed the court that the 14-year-old who was responsible for the fatal strike is claiming diminished responsibility for his actions.

Outside of the Asda store on Jinnah Road in Redditch, Worcestershire, the victim, who had worked as a contractor for Jaguar Land Rover, passed away after sustaining a chest wound.

Mr. Aina, for the Crown, stated in the courtroom during the opening statement of the prosecution’s case that “the victim left his home in Redditch with the purpose of going to B&Q in order to purchase a light switch.”

Statement from the court

“A scuffle broke out and, during that scuffle, the victimwas stabbed once to his heart with a knife and he died before getting to the hospital. He was only 53 years old.

‘There is no dispute in this case that the person who stabbed the victim was (the 14-year-old).

However, the prosecution’s case is that at the time the victim was stabbed with the knife, the five boys were acting together as a group – intentionally assisting and encouraging (the boy who stabbed the victim) and that they intended that the victim should be caused at least really serious harm with the knife that was used.”
