No Longer A Hassle, KKM Expands Appointment System Via MySejahtera App

MySejahtera was once an important app that every Malaysian installed when the first wave of COVID-19 hit.

The health app introduced by the Ministry of Health (KKM) helped track down COVID-19-positive cases and showed our health status and other precautions to be taken. Not only that, but MySejahtera also acted as a vital document to certify the status of our vaccination: from the first shot to the second booster dose.

However, another step KKM takes starting this 1st January is to expand the appointment system via the MySejahtera app at all primary health facilities.

Expanding the appointment system via MySejahtera App reduces the waiting time

In a media statement released by KKM today, this system will avoid congestion at registration and waiting points and benefit many people, such as the elderly and the disabled.

These are the services included in their new feature:

  • Outpatient treatment
  • National Health Screening Initiative (NHSI)
  • PeKa B40 health screening
  • Pre-employment/pre-study health screening
  • Pre-marital screening
  • Smoking cessation service (KBM)
  • Family planning services
  • Wound treatment, tube replacement and others

The service has commenced in 673 primary clinics, starting from the NHSI, PeKa B40, KBM and other services.

Additionally, this system includes the Automated Reminder function. Now, users can attend the appointment according to their desired time and date.

But for emergency cases like fever or infectious diseases, people can go to the health facility immediately without making an appointment beforehand.

The expanded appointment system in MySejahtera will surely make life so much easier. Users can now pick when they want their appointment to be according to their schedule.
