The First Wednesday Addams, Lisa Loring Dies At The Age Of 64

A legend, Lisa Loring, who played the original Wednesday Addams, sadly died at the age of 64. After three days of holding to life support, Loring took her last breath at the hospital. Her family, including her two daughters, were there by her side.

According to a friend, author Laurie Jacobson, Loring died “peacefully” while her daughters, Marianne and Vanessa, held her hands. She suffered a stroke due to smoking and high blood pressure.

Jacobson shared the sad news on her Facebook page:

Loring’s dear friend also mentioned that she will be remembered as the iconic Wednesday Addams. At the age of 5, the actress starred in the first adaptation of Charles Addams’ cartoons, The Addams Family sitcom from 1964 until 1966.

The talented actress acted as Gomez Addams’ daughter. She portrayed a gothic girl with pigtails, where the character stays alive for decades, even though played by different actresses, through the years.
