Veles Trade Sdn Bhd And Larch Overseas Sdn Bhd Are Set To Make It Big Into The Malaysian Market

Veles Trade Sdn Bhd and Larch Overseas Sdn Bhd, two multi national companies which specialize in logistics, trading, import and export have embarked into  the Malaysian market starting May 2, 2023. The companies are owned by a Latvian businessman,  Mr Aleksandrs Zaicev with a Malaysian partner, Dato’ Seri Dr Romona Murad.

An office warming party and also Raya celebration were organized on May 6, 2023 at their office  in Wisma UOA 2, Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur at 11am. Many dignitaries and top businessmen  have attended this exciting event, among others were businessmen from Eastern Europe and  Russia. Also present were Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of the Republic of  Tajikistan to Malaysia, H.E Ardasher Saeedjaafar Qodiri and wife, First Secretary of the Embassy  of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, H.E Arsen Turgambayev, Second Secretary of the Embassy of UAE  to Malaysia, H.E Nouf AlKuwaiti and some prominent figures in the Malaysian business industry.

The dignitaries and guests have witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and also signing of the  inauguration plaque followed by tour of the office and a delicious luncheon.

According to Mr Aleksandrs Zaicev, “Veles is the name of an ancient deity among the Slavic  peoples in antiquity, who patronized merchants. This word is often found in the names of  companies from countries where the Slavic peoples historically lived. The word Larch was chosen  randomly. The most important word in this name is “overseas”, because we have always been  engaged in the international trading business and the main philosophy of this company in the  group is the international development of trade between the countries of near and far abroad.”

He also mentioned, “Our group of companies has been on the market for almost 20 years. It  employs over 1,000 people and these people work in the different countries where we do  business. Our main country, from where we started developing business was in Belarus, but the  main clients are companies that import goods to Russia, Belarus, the Baltic countries from the  Asian region. At the moment, we have offices and representative offices in Moscow, Vilnius,  Istanbul, Almaty and now in Kuala Lumpur. In all these cities we have customs warehouses and  infrastructure for the logistics business and professional staff.”

He continued, “The connection of our clients with the countries in Southeast Asia have turned to  us to open a trading and logistics company here in Kuala Lumpur. Also, we would like to be closer  to our partners who are local logistics brokers and intermediaries, and to manage meetings  occurring among clients which are becoming more over the years.”

“We use Kuala Lumpur office to support an existing business, and then proceed to the  development of the global market. We are sure that there will be an interesting challenge to find  both importers and exporters. Especially exporters, where they send their goods for export, from  where we came from and where we are already represented. I believe that in terms of income  prospects, we can say more clearly after two or three months after the start of active search for  new customers. For now, our priority is to take care of our existing customers from this region,”  he concluded.
