Kuala Lumpur Bike Show 2023 To Host Two Lifestyle Programmes: Indie Rock Concert By Hujan And Streetwear Fashion Show Curated By Bon Zainal

The inaugural Kuala Lumpur Bike Show 2023 (KLBS’23) is pleased to announce two lifestyle programmes that will take place during the four-day exhibition in August.

Farouk Nurish, Director of Moventuum Sdn Bhd, said “The Kuala Lumpur Bike Show 2023, is a show that holistically represents the biking culture in Malaysia. And this includes lifestyle elements such as fashion and music. So today, our announcement of the collaboration with renowned Malaysian fashion designer, Bon Zainal, and four other designers together with our second concert featuring popular group, Hujan, will add to these elements at the show.”

The concert by indie rock band, Hujan, at KLBS’23 is the band’s first solo performance in Malaysia this year. It will be held on the evening of 25 August 2023, at the Merdeka Hall, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL).

Flanked by Farouk Nurish, Director of Moventuum Sdn Bhd on the left, and Dr Yusseri Yusof, Director of Bayu D Enterprise Sdn Bhd (Publisher of RodaRoda Magazine), are three of the band members of popular indie rock band, Hujan, at an exclusive media event held today (26 July) at Bon Zainal’s Boutique in Plaza Damas, Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur.

Excited to perform for their fans who call themselves the Raingers, Hujan, said “We have performed at many festivals in the country throughout the year, but this time, it will be our solo showcase. For the Raingers who may have missed our previous shows, don’t miss this one. Come and watch us live at KLBS’23.”

Ticket sales for Hujan’s concert will begin this Friday, 29 July 2023 at 10am by Moventuum on MyTicket Asia online.

The other lifestyle component of KLBS’23 is a fashion show curated by Malaysia’s menswear maestro, Bon Zainal. Themed ‘Wheels on Heels’, Bon Zainal is inspired by the convergence of two industries – fashion and the two-wheelers, for this carefully curated fashion show at KLBS’23. The show will feature diverse collections by local designers including Emri Vision, Blackout by Rasta, Ghadeez, and Bon Zainal himself, who were all also present at the media event at Bon Zainal Boutique in Plaza Damas here today.

Also in the photo are local designers, Ghadeez, Emri Vision and Blackout by Rasta, who will be showcasing their ready-to-wear collection at the ‘Wheels on Heels’ fashion show at the Kuala Lumpur Bike Show 2023 in August.

Bon Zainal said, “When we talk about fashion shows, it all comes down to great collaborations. For ‘Wheels on Heels’, it is not only the collaboration between five local designers including myself, but also the combination of two industries. The fact is that everyone styles themselves from the moment they wake up; so, there is always a lifestyle element in every industry. ‘Wheels on Heels’ is a showcase of ready-to-wear streetwear that suits everyone within and outside the biking world. Collaborating with KLBS’23 is also a great way to promote Malaysia’s talented homegrown designers. So, let’s support local and let’s get this show on the runway and on social media.”

Organised by Moventuum Sdn Bhd and RodaRoda Magazine (Bayu D Enterprise Sdn Bhd), KLBS’23 will be the first exhibition of its kind in Malaysia to solely feature the two-wheel industry. For more information, visit www.kualalumpurbikeshow.com.
