ZTE Showcases Cutting-Edge 5G Applications at Connected Industries Day in Malaysia

ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, built on its record-breaking 28Gbps speed achievement from October 2023, to present cutting-edge 5G applications at the Connected Industries Day event, which focused on “Transforming Manufacturing with 5G and AI.”

The event, organized by Digital Nasional Berhad (“DNB”) and held at the Eastin Hotel in Bayan Lepas, Penang, was officiated by YBhg Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital. 

At the event, ZTE unveiled its “Digitalizing Factories with Advanced Industrial Innovations” initiative, showcasing the transformative power of 5G in smart manufacturing. Innovations such as the 5G Smart Campus Intelligent Operations Center and the 5G Automated Guided Vehicle (“AGV”) were highlighted, demonstrating their potential to enhance operational safety and efficiency.

Notable projects like the Nanjing Binjiang Intelligent Manufacturing initiative and the fully connected WISCO project were showcased, illustrating significant improvements in labor efficiency and defect rate reductions, alongside impressive gains in operational performance.

ZTE’s interactive booth provided attendees a hands-on experience with the latest advancements in 5G technology. The booth featured practical applications including the innovative 5G AGV and Smart Helmet, designed to improve safety and operational efficiency. These demonstrations underscored ZTE’s commitment to leveraging 5G technology for industrial advancement.

Moreover, ZTE introduced its latest 5G Smart Manufacturing solutions, equipped with advanced technologies like Qcell, AAU, and BBU. The event drew approximately 100 participants from 50 companies, facilitating discussions on the extensive impact of 5G and AI in manufacturing and exploring future collaborative opportunities.

ZTE’s dedication to supporting a wide range of 5G and AI use cases contributes to a more connected, innovative, and efficient industrial landscape. This event not only highlighted ZTE’s technological prowess but also demonstrated the transformative potential of 5G-Advanced technology in revolutionizing industrial operations and digital evolution.
