AirAsia Celebrates Inaugural Flight To Sihanoukville From Kuala Lumpur

AirAsia today celebrated its first inaugural flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sihanoukville, Cambodia’s coastal city and also the capital of Sihanoukville Province, locally known as Kampong Som.

The inaugural flight departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Terminal 2) at 12:10 PM and landed at Sihanoukville International Airport  also known as Kang Keng Airport at 1:00 PM local time. Guests onboard flight AK 264 were celebrated with Khmer traditional dance upon arrival, also warmly received by representatives from the Cambodia Airport Authority and AirAsia Allstars.

AirAsia now flies direct to Sihanoukville from Kuala Lumpur with three flights weekly. AirAsia’s vast international network links Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville to over 130 destinations across Asia and beyond such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, via its hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand.
