OATSIDE Lowers Prices By More Than 30% to Increase Accessibility

OATSIDE, the cult favourite oat milk is cutting its retail prices to make oat milk accessible to a wider audience. OATSIDE’s 1L Barista Blend and Chocolate variants will retail for RM9.90, down from RM14.50, at major retailers across Malaysia, including Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, Ben’s Independant Grocer, The Food Merchant, QRA, Aeon and Seibu+. OATSIDE anticipates fully implementing this price reduction across retailers nationwide by September 2024.

“We are committed to creating products that taste great, are healthy and are sustainable. The challenge for the plant milk category in the past has been its relatively higher prices. As we have scaled over the last 3 years, we’ve worked hard to find efficiencies through our supply chain and we are passing these savings on to consumers as part of our mission to make oat milk a staple in more households,” says Benedict Lim, Founder and CEO of OATSIDE. “While the prices are new, there has been no change to our product formula and OATSIDE has the same creamy, malty taste you’re used to, made with roasted oats and our proprietary enzyme extraction process. OATSIDE’s oat milks are lower in sugar, lactose-free, contains no cholesterol, and has similar levels of calcium as dairy milk per serving.”

Since its launch in 2022, OATSIDE has expanded to serve 15 countries, reaching over 250,000 retail and foodservice locations across Asia. OATSIDE started in Malaysia in 2022 and is currently available across retailers and cafes nationwide with both its 1L and 200ml formats of Barista Blend, Chocolate and Coffee variants.

The price reductions are effective immediately and will be fully implemented across retailers by September 2024.
