KL Tower Welcomes 2025 With Malaysia’s Highest Altitude Tower Fireworks Spectacle And Mesmerising Light Show

KL Tower ushered in 2025 with an extraordinary celebration, marking a triumphant return of its New Year’s Eve festivities after nearly three decades. This year’s event earned prestigious national recognition for hosting the Highest Altitude Tower Fireworks Show in Malaysia. Certified by the Malaysia Book of Records, the fireworks soared to a remarkable altitude of 307.610 metres above ground level (401.610 metres above sea level), reaffirming KL Tower’s legacy as an iconic cultural and architectural landmark.

Adding a magical touch to the night, KL Tower illuminated the Kuala Lumpur skyline with a breathtaking light show. The synchronised lights danced to the rhythm of festive music, transforming Southeast Asia’s tallest telecommunications tower into a vibrant beacon visible across the city. Standing at 421 metres tall, the tower dazzled onlookers with its vivid hues and captivating presence.

A Night of Celebration and Unity

The New Year’s Eve 2025 Quarter Century Celebration enthralled thousands of attendees with a record-breaking double fireworks display. The first spectacular show launched from Level TH07, reaching 307.610 metres above ground. Moments later, a second dazzling display erupted from the Tower Terrace, completing a mesmerising visual symphony that enchanted viewers across Kuala Lumpur.

The night was further elevated by a special live performance from renowned violinist Martin Looi. His masterful melodies added a touch of elegance and enchantment to the festivities, captivating the audience and creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy.

“This achievement is a testament to KL Tower’s commitment to creating unforgettable moments that unite people,” said Encik Nazli bin Saad, Chief Executive Officer of Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn. Bhd. “Earning this recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records solidifies KL Tower’s standing as a hub for iconic celebrations and a symbol of Malaysia’s progress and unity.”

Celebrating with the Community

The event kicked off at 9:00 PM, bringing together families, friends, and visitors from around the globe. The lively atmosphere featured electrifying performances by the Sky Band, festive party packs, and a vibrant countdown, setting the stage for the awe-inspiring fireworks and light show.
