Medella Launches Red Palm & Coconut Cooking Oil, First of Its Kind and Proudly Made in Malaysia

Looking for a healthier cooking oil? Medella Red Palm & Coconut Cooking Oil combines the best qualities of red palm and coconut oil in a first-of-its-kind, nutrient-dense formulation, offering a wealth of health benefits.

“Malaysians are no stranger to red palm oil and coconut oil, and these two oils are incredibly versatile and well-suited to local cooking styles,” said Edwin Ong, Chief Executive Officer, Medella. “As we approach Hari Raya, we are proud to introduce Medella Red Palm & Coconut Cooking Oil, a healthier option for all Malaysians.”

Red palm oil contains a wealth of potent antioxidants such as provitamin A, vitamin E, and high levels of carotenoids, which have been found to support heart and eye health. Similarly, coconut oil is rich in fatty acids that are linked to improving levels of good cholesterol and resistant to oxidising at high temperatures, making it more suitable for high heat cooking such as frying.

Making healthier dietary choices can contribute to better health, alongside other lifestyle improvements such as being more active and getting regular health checks, especially in view of the high rates of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and obesity in Malaysia.

Medella Red Palm & Coconut Cooking Oil is a 50/50 blend of 100% natural premium red palm and coconut cooking oil, treated with a non-chemical process to preserve its quality and nutrients. With every 15g, it delivers 4.5g of Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), 3.75mg of vitamin E, and 1.13mg of provitamin A.

It is ideal for various cooking styles up to high temperatures, with a neutral aroma and rich hue that comes from nutritious and naturally-occurring carotenoids found in palm oil. Free from chemicals, solvents, additives and trans fats, Medella Red Palm & Coconut Cooking Oil is certified halal.

Medella Red Palm & Coconut Cooking Oil is now exclusively available at all Jaya Grocer outlets nationwide.
