Krispy Kreme Is Coming to Mongolia in Sweet New Partnership

Mongolia’s dessert scene is about to get a whole lot sweeter. Berjaya Food International Sdn. Bhd. (BFI), a subsidiary of Berjaya Food Berhad (BFood), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mongolia’s BlueMon Group, paving the way for Krispy Kreme’s highly anticipated debut in the country.

This partnership signals a strategic push into a fast-growing market, combining BFI’s expertise in scaling global F&B brands with BlueMon Group’s deep local market knowledge. For Mongolians, it means one thing: the arrival of Krispy Kreme’s legendary Original Glazed® doughnuts and its signature warm, melt-in-your-mouth experience soon to be just a store visit away.

Why Mongolia? A Market Ready for Sweet Growth

Mongolia’s economy is diversifying, with rising disposable incomes and a growing appetite for international brands. As Ulaanbaatar evolves into a modern metropolitan hub, the demand for premium food experiences has surged making it the perfect time for Krispy Kreme’s entry.

“We see tremendous potential in Mongolia’s consumer market,” said Dato’ Sydney Quays, Group CEO of Berjaya Food Berhad. “Krispy Kreme’s irresistible taste and strong brand appeal align perfectly with what Mongolian customers are seeking today. Partnering with BlueMon Group ensures we deliver an experience that truly resonates locally.”

A Partnership with a Vision

BlueMon Group, a key player in Mongolia’s retail and hospitality sectors, shares BFI’s enthusiasm. Mr. Sanjjav Tseveen-Ochir, Group Chairman and President of BlueMon Group, emphasized the long-term vision behind the collaboration:

“Bringing Krispy Kreme to Mongolia isn’t just about doughnuts it’s about enhancing our country’s dining culture with a globally loved brand. This partnership reflects our commitment to introducing world-class experiences to Mongolian consumers.”

What’s Next?

While an exact launch date is still under wraps, the first Krispy Kreme outlet in Mongolia is expected to open in the near future, likely in Ulaanbaatar. The expansion follows BFood’s successful ventures in ASEAN, the Middle East, and the Nordic region, reinforcing its strategy to grow Krispy Kreme’s footprint in emerging markets.

For now, Mongolian sweet tooths will have to wait just a little longer Krispy Kreme Is Coming to Mongolia in Sweet New Partnershipbut when that “Hot Now” sign finally lights up, you’ll know where to find the glazed goodness.
