Game, Set, Green! Malaysia Hosts First-Ever Clean-Energy Pickleball Tournament Powered by Solarvest

Sports and sustainability have officially teamed up in Malaysia with the launch of the Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025, the nation’s first pickleball tournament powered entirely by clean, renewable energy. Happening from 2–3 August 2025 at Picklefy, Shah Alam, this pioneering event is set to ignite both competitive spirit and climate-conscious action in one thrilling weekend.

Organised by Solarvest, a leading clean energy solutions provider, the tournament is a bold statement of how renewable energy can power not just homes and businesses, but also communities and active lifestyles.

Speaking at the launch event, Jack Tan (陈麒介), Group Vice President of Global Sales, Assets & Marketing at Solarvest, said:

“Clean energy is more than infrastructure — it’s how we live, work, and play. The Solarvest Pickleball Cup brings that belief to life by integrating sustainability into one of today’s fastest-growing sports.”

With a projected 480 players from across Southeast Asia, the tournament will feature Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories, offering over RM35,000 in cash prizes, eco-crafted medals by NatureLoop, limited-edition Puma jerseys, and premium gear.

True to its mission, the event’s entire energy supply will be backed by Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), ensuring 100% clean power, making it not just a tournament, but a movement.

The launch event was also graced by Solarvest ambassador and national badminton star Ng Tze Yong, and key partners Baseline AFA and Picklefy. On the players’ roster: fan-favourite names like Delia Arnold, Jang Han Byul, Natalie Loke, and Khoo Eryang promise fierce matches and good vibes.

Tan added:

“By bringing sustainability into a sport that’s fun, inclusive, and growing fast, we hope to spark deeper conversations around climate action and conscious living.”
