Savour the Spirit of Merdeka at the Curve Merdeka Food Run 2025

Back by popular demand, the Curve Merdeka Food Run 2025 is set to return this 30 August 2025 – and it promises to be bigger, better, and more delicious than ever. With twice the excitement and double the participation, this year’s event promises a fun-filled 5KM experience where fitness meets food, and community spirit takes centre stage.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural run, which saw an impressive 1,500 participants, this year’s event is expected to attract up to 3,000 runners, comprising families, fitness enthusiasts, and food lovers alike. Kicking off at 7.30am from the Piazza, participants can look forward to a tasty twist along the route with food pit stops serving beloved local delights like nasi lemak, curry puffs, satay, and more.

The event underscores the Curve’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles while celebrating cultural pride and community connection. It’s more than a run – it’s a journey through Malaysia’s vibrant culinary heritage, where every step brings you closer to the tastes that unite us.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Curve Merdeka Food Run in 2025 with even more excitement and energy,” said En Jazmi Kamarudin, Chief Operations Officer of Boustead Properties Berhad. “Malaysians have always shared a strong bond over food, and what better way to celebrate Merdeka than by uniting people through two of our national passions – food and togetherness. This event perfectly reflects our goal of creating shared experiences that honour Malaysian culture, promote wellness, and build strong community bonds.”

In the true spirit of Merdeka, the run welcomes everyone – from serious runners to families, colleagues, and casual participants. Registrations are now open till 3 August 2025, with discounted rates for a group of 4. Companies are also encouraged to take part through corporate packages, perfect for team building and employee wellness.

To top it off, participants will stand a chance to win exciting prizes worth RM10,000 through a Lucky Draw at the end of the event. It’s a perfect way to wrap up a morning of fun, fitness, and flavours.

the Curve Merdeka Food Run 2025 is part of the mall’s broader Merdeka Campaign, which will run throughout the month of August. Anchored by themes of health, heritage, and harmony, the campaign includes a vibrant line-up of festive activities, cultural showcases, and community engagements, all designed to honour Malaysia’s independence and multicultural legacy.

Whether you’re running for fitness, fun, or food, the Curve Merdeka Food Run 2025 offers a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate what it means to be Malaysian.
