PUBG MOBILE Launches FAN FEST Event with Guinness World Record™ Break

PUBG MOBILE has always been about more than survival. This January, the game made history. It officially broke the Guinness World Record™ for the Most Pairs Performing a Choreographed Handshake (Multiple Venues).

What began as a simple gesture of connection quickly grew into something much bigger. Across multiple cities, that single handshake became a shared celebration felt around the world.

The milestone unfolded as part of FRIEND FEST, PUBG MOBILE’s global tribute to friendship and community.

Launched on January 23, the festival blends immersive in-game moments with real-world experiences. It invites players to connect not just on the battlegrounds, but in the spaces where everyday life happens.

One Handshake, Four Cities, One Community

On January 25, players across continents moved in unison.

A total of 392 participants performed the same choreographed handshake at the same time.

The moment unfolded across four iconic public venues: Lapangan Banteng Park in Jakarta, Fişekhane in Istanbul, Guzeria Youth Center in Cairo, and Fatima Jinnah Park in Islamabad.

Each location holds deep cultural and civic meaning, making the moment feel grounded and personal.

Together, they formed a powerful snapshot of a global community united by shared passion. The moment showed how language, borders and distance fade when people move together with purpose.

When the Battleground Blooms

FRIEND FEST continues inside PUBG MOBILE with experiences designed to turn cooperation into spectacle.

From January 23 to February 16, players can gather at Bonding Tree checkpoints in Erangel and Livik. As they do, the landscape shifts into soft pink hues and a special stage performance comes to life.

The magic grows with the crowd. As more players join, the visual effects continue to evolve. Presence itself becomes a shared reward, making every gathering feel intentional and celebratory.

At the heart of FRIEND FEST is a simple idea: appreciation.

In-game, players can collect and gift floral arrangements to teammates, capture the moment, and unlock single-match items through the Fated Dance Bouquet and Surprise Bouquet.

These gestures also unlock stylish cosmetic rewards, including Floral Veil and Sunflower Cover, allowing players to express warmth and individuality in a world usually defined by combat.

From Screen to Street

PUBG MOBILE brings the celebration into the real world with FRIEND FEST flower shops popping up across select regions in Western Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia.

PUBG

Players who show PUBG MOBILE-related content can receive free flowers, extending the spirit of connection beyond the screen and into daily life.

In Türkiye, the celebration expanded through the SUPER HANDSHAKE EVENT, where players took part in flower-making workshops and explored flower-themed photo zones.

The experience encouraged creativity and self-expression, blending gaming culture with lifestyle moments.

Paris Sets the Scene

Paris joined the festivities on January 24 with a FRIEND FEST community river cruise along the Seine. Players and creators came together for interactive, gameplay-inspired challenges that balanced competition with theatrical flair.

From creator-led team deathmatches to Peaky Blinders–inspired tasks complete with Shelby-style caps and suspended airdrop targets; the cruise captured the spirit of PUBG MOBILE as both sport and spectacle.

Indonesia Leads the Community Charge

Indonesia continues the celebration from January 25 to February 25 with a series of in-person events designed to bring local communities together.

Hosted at selected cafés nationwide, PUBG MOBILE Experience Zones offer tournaments and World of Wonder creative matches that encourage collaboration and creativity.

Back at Lapangan Banteng Park, the Pan-for-Pan exchange invites players to design their own pan for a chance to win the coveted Golden Pan, while the Glass Room Tournament turns heads with intense one-on-one battles inside a transparent arena, blending street culture with esports energy.

A Culture Built on Connection

FRIEND FEST shows PUBG MOBILE at its most expressive.

From a world-record handshake to blooming battlegrounds and city-wide gatherings, the festival captures what happens when millions of players come together with intention.

It is no longer just about the game. It is about the moments, the memories and the friendships that form when a global community chooses to connect.

PUBG

PUBG MOBILE’s FRIEND FEST will take place from January 23rd to February 16th.
