Petrosains Hosts Strategic Media Engagement Showcasing Immersive Science Storytelling and Iconic SkyXperience

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 April 2026 — Petrosains Sdn. Bhd. today hosted a strategic media engagement, “A Memorable Experience with Petrosains,” bringing together key media partners to reinforce collaboration and jointly amplify the role of knowledge, education and storytelling in nation-building aligned to Visit Malaysia 2026.

The gathering marked a meaningful milestone for Petrosains, not only as a platform to express appreciation, but as a renewed call to strengthen partnership with the media, whose role remains integral in translating education led initiatives into impactful national narratives.

In her welcoming remarks, Shamini Balan, Director of Stakeholder Relations & Communications of Petrosains, emphasised that impact is achieved through collaboration and shared purpose, and never in isolation.

“Your presence here reflects more than a partnership. It reflects a shared belief that education, knowledge and storytelling have the power to inspire change. A change for the better,” she said.

Over the years, Petrosains and the PETRONAS Twin Towers SkyXperience have evolved beyond visitor attractions into a dynamic ecosystem at the intersection of STEM education and Edu-tourism.

Both offerings continue to support national aspirations such as Visit Malaysia 2026 by providing immersive, accessible and engaging experiences.

Media partners were also taken on a guided journey through Petrosains and the PETRONAS Twin Towers SkyXperience, where they explored the latest offerings and gained deeper insights into the stories behind one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks.

At Petrosains, highlights include Veloclimb at the SPEED area, an interactive climbing experience that combines physical movement with digital engagement, and Hello AI at the Sparkz area, which introduces visitors to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence in an engaging and accessible way.

Media partners also experienced the Sustainability Gallery, featuring immersive zones such as Ecofarm, Ecofood, Ecohome, Ecotransport, Ecopledges and Ecohorizon, where visitors can explore sustainable living up close, including urban farming and harvesting fresh vegetables.

The experience was further enhanced with an exclusive dining session at Sky Café by Maja, located on Level 83 of the PETRONAS Twin Towers, which was recently recognised by the Malaysian Book of Records.

More than a destination experience, the journey showcased a seamless blend of interactive exploration, compelling storytelling and panoramic city views, each moment reflecting Malaysia’s progress in innovation, discovery and excellence.

The PETRONAS Twin Towers SkyXperience has also strengthened its global positioning through its inclusion into the World Federation of Great Towers, reinforcing Malaysia’s standing among globally recognised architectural landmarks.

Beyond its physical spaces, Petrosains continues to extend its impact nationwide through initiatives such as Petrosains Tech4All, Petrosains PlaySmart and the Petrosains Discovery Rover.

These programmes go beyond the Klang Valley, reaching communities in Sabah, Sarawak, Johor and Pahang, bringing STEM learning opportunities to underserved and indigenous communities across Malaysia.

Petrosains PlaySmart serves as a satellite centre concept, creating accessible, community-based spaces where students can experience hands-on, interactive STEM learning closer to home.

Complementing this, the Petrosains Discovery Rover, a mobile STEM outreach unit, travels to remote and rural areas, delivering engaging science experiences directly to schools and communities that may otherwise have limited access.

Guided by the belief that every child deserves access to quality education, these initiatives aim to bridge educational gaps and inspire future generations, regardless of background or geography.

Recognising the vital role of media in amplifying these efforts, the gathering also served as a platform to express appreciation to longstanding media partners.

“A special thank you to our media partners for your continued support and coverage over the years. Your commitment has helped transform programmes into stories, and stories into inspiration that reaches far beyond our immediate audiences,” Madam Shamini added.

As Petrosains looks ahead to a series of upcoming activations aligned to Visit Malaysia 2026, the organisation remains committed to working closely with media partners to increase visibility, deepen engagement and bring science-led stories to wider audiences.

The gathering concluded with an open invitation for continued collaboration, reinforcing Petrosains’ role as a catalyst that connects people, ideas and possibilities through experiences that ignite curiosity and inspire change.
