New Balance is taking over Dataran DBKL this Sunday, 23 August 2026, bringing race-day energy to the weekly KL Car-Free Morning with the debut of the NB Relay.
Starting from 6:00 AM, the event serves as an experiential showcase for the newly introduced SuperComp Elite v6 and SuperComp Rebel v1, giving runners of all fitness levels a chance to test out the high performance running shoes on a dedicated track.
On-Site Activations at Dataran DBKL
Participants joining the event on Sunday can look forward to two main interactive sessions:
- SuperComp Shoe Trial (From 6:00 AM): Runners can lace up either the SC Elite v6 or SC Rebel v1 to complete 100 metres (4 laps on the relay track) or 3 minutes of running. Completers who follow the New Balance Run Hub MY Strava page can redeem a complimentary Upbound hydration drink. Sharing the trial on social media with #NewBalanceMY and tagging @NewBalance enters participants into a giveaway for RM500 in New Balance merchandise.
- NB 2x100m Relay Challenge (From 7:15 AM): Running across six scheduled sessions, teams of two will compete in a timed 200m total baton relay. Top-performing teams in each session will receive exclusive rewards. On-site registration will be open while slots last.
Run Hub Takeover & Retail Availability
For those who miss the Sunday event, the trial experience extends to the New Balance Run Hub at Suria KLCC from 20 to 31 August 2026. Runners who test either SuperComp model on a 5km run can unlock a surprise gift from the Runners Essentials Vending Machine, featuring items like soft bottles, towel bags, Lush Protein sachets, Mooit snacks, and Upbound hydration drinks.
