Fans of KAWS and UNIQLO have something new to look forward to as KAWS UNIVERSE, the latest UT collection by contemporary artist KAWS, arrives in Malaysia on September 14.
Inspired by the message “We are better together,” the collection explores themes of connection and togetherness through KAWS’ iconic COMPANION and three new characters inspired by universal symbols of the Earth, Moon and Sun.
The new characters appear alongside COMPANION in playful designs that represent hope, warmth and human connection across different cultures and generations.
The collection features T-shirts and sweatshirts for adults and kids, incorporating KAWS’ signature “XX” motif through graphic details and embroidery.
For the first time in a KAWS collaboration with UNIQLO, fans can also get their hands on plush charms featuring the new KAWS UNIVERSE characters, making it easier to bring the collection’s playful aesthetic wherever you go.
KAWS said the new characters were inspired by symbols that are shared by everyone, celebrating the things that bring people together.
