LEGO Wants Kids To Create Their Own Hero Stories

Forget following the usual superhero script, LEGO is encouraging kids across Malaysia to build their own hero adventures.

The LEGO Group has launched its “What’s Your Hero Story?” campaign, bringing together LEGO City, LEGO NINJAGO, LEGO Marvel and LEGO Star Wars in a nationwide activation designed to let kids turn their imagination into their very own stories.

Instead of simply recreating heroes they’ve seen on screen, kids are encouraged to decide what being a hero means to them — whether that involves building a dragon mech, flying a starfighter or creating an entire city from scratch.

“We believe every child has a hero story waiting to be told,” said Nina Patricia Da Costa, General Manager of Singapore, Malaysia and APAC Travel Retail, The LEGO Group.

Build Your Own Hero
The campaign will be travelling across seven LEGO Certified Stores over seven weekends, where children can take part in hands-on building sessions and create their own hero minifigure.

There’s also a social media contest for kids aged 6 to 12.
Parents can enter by:

  • Taking a photo of their child building their hero minifigure at a participating LEGO Certified Store
  • Tagging @LEGO and @boxofbricksmy on Instagram, or @legomalaysia.official and @boxofbricksmy on Facebook
  • Mentioning the store location
  • Using #YOURLEGOHEROSTORY

Make sure the participating account is public. At the end of the campaign, 10 winners will each receive a LEGO NINJAGO 71841 Dragonian Storm Village set.

Pick Your Hero Adventure
There’s plenty of LEGO action to choose from too, including 71868 Wyldfyre’s Transforming Dragon Mech, 71862 Lloyd’s Dragon Mech Battle Pack, 76349 Spider-Man Prison Transport Chase, 76350 Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash, 60492 Passenger Jet and 75444 AT-RT Attack.

The sets are available at LEGO Certified Stores, the LEGO Official Stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well as major retailers across Malaysia.

And Yes, There’s A Free Gift
From 14 September to 31 October 2026, shoppers who spend at least RM179 on any LEGO City, LEGO NINJAGO, LEGO Marvel or LEGO Star Wars set will also receive a complimentary Gift-With-Purchase (GWP), subject to the redemption terms for each channel.

So, whether their idea of being a hero involves saving a city, battling villains or simply building something completely unexpected, LEGO is giving kids the bricks to tell a story that’s uniquely theirs.
