Kuala Lumpur, March 11 – A member of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) positively endorsed COVID-19 on March 3.
According to the EPF, members had been working at the Jalan Raja Laut Kuala Lumpur branch office on February 27 between 2.00 and 2.30 pm.
“We have identified the EPF officers who are exposed to these members and have sent them for examination.
“Other officers from another department were also quarantined. Headquarters always working closely with the authorities for any further action.
The initiative was taken by closing the office up to 13 March 2020 (Friday) to carry out the process of infection and the environment area. The EPF office will be re-operated on 16 March 2020 (Monday).
All the counters and surfaces exposed at the EPF premises are cleared continuously throughout the day.
Counter officials are also required to clean their hands every 30 minutes. Visitors must also undergo a body temperature inspection before entering the EPF premises.
Members are also advised to visit the nearest health service provider in the event of having relevant symptoms, always practice their hygiene and wear appropriate personal protective equipment before dealing with Counter.
